National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP) awards The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) Lamp of Learning Awards

June 21 2023

Earlier this year, National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP), one of the nation’s largest providers of industry-recognized certifications in allied health, awarded the CHCP Online Division, Fort Worth campus and SW Houston campus the 2022 Lamp of Learning Award. The Lamp of Learning award acknowledges campuses for their students exceeding the national average pass rates for the Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant Exam (NRCMA) and Nationally Registered Certified Coding Specialist Exam (NRCCS). These sites were the only three selected from a pool of over 300 nominees to receive the reward. The Lamp of Learning Award included a $500 donation to each location, which they will use to fund community service projects.

NAHP is the premier U.S. credentialing body for healthcare professionals. Their mission is to promote and provide quality certification programs that validate knowledge in the healthcare arena for the enhancement of patient care and professional practice.

The award is a testament to CHCP’s learners whose nationally recognized high pass rates of the exams enables them to have an industry-recognized certificate as they enter the healthcare field. CHCP has also been recognized in NAHP’s 2021, 2018 and 2017 awards. It truly emphasizes the quality and integrity of CHCP’s program for their learners.  “This is a tremendous recognition of our learners and the faculty and staff who prepare them,” said Eric Bing, Chancellor of CHCP, “We are honored to receive this award, which demonstrates the commitment to ensuring our learners not only have the knowledge and skills need have a successful career, but can also best position themselves in the industry after graduation.”
