The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) has partnered with Inspired Vision and A+ Academy, two charter schools in Dallas County, to inform high school students on careers in the allied health profession and the education needed to become eligible to apply for such jobs.

“Students today have many educational opportunities outside of a traditional four-year university,” said Maureen Clements, CHCP Dallas Campus President. “This partnership will expose students to professional career options, career readiness and a college lifestyle that accommodates a work life balance as well as prepares them to enter the workforce with the necessary skills needed to succeed.”

Through this partnership CHCP will offer $1,000 scholarships for qualified students, provide interactive student tours and serve as an informational resource about ancillary career readiness topics like financial literacy and FAFSA assistance.

"For 20 years, we have been committed to providing every one of our scholars with an individualized, well-rounded education that helps them in becoming successful, self-sufficient adults,” said Brenton White Superintendent & CEO of Inspired Vision and A+ Academy. “We are excited to partner with CHCP because we share the same vision and commitment to our students. The healthcare education and training opportunities that CHCP will be providing, will help our students leave high school as competitive forces in today’s economy."

CHCP’s programs have been developing health care professionals for 30 years. With on-the-job experience through externship and seasoned faculty, CHCP is committed to helping every student meet success. CHCP‘s campus (day & evening), blended, online, and hybrid programs give students flexible options that allow them to learn on their schedules.

“A collaboration with Inspired Vision and A+ Academy is just one of the ways we are assisting communities by providing students the information they need to learn about the various professional career opportunities in allied health, plus, CHCP’s unique curriculum, the latest in learning technologies and wrap around services that help students graduate and find fulfilling careers,” added Eric Bing, CEO CHCP.

CHCP recently reopened its Dallas Campus with new blended two day a week in the classroom programs in a more convenient location off of the I-35E Freeway. The college, accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, offers certificate programs in areas such as medical assistant, medical coding and billing, dental assistant, massage therapy, and limited medical radiologic (X-ray) technology. In addition, associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs such as surgical technology, diagnostic medical and cardiovascular sonography, health care management, healthcare administration, health and medical administrative services, radiologic technology and radiologic science management are offered.

Students have access to residential campus CHCP Career Service teams in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and McAllen, as well as an online career services team.
