CHCP’s Provost and Vice President of Academics, Dr. Joanitt Montano, was featured on Michael Palmer’s Trending in Education podcast which interviews leaders in the education space to discuss innovative trends that are improving education for modern learners. In this episode, Joanitt and Michael discuss how CHCP’s blended learning model, stackable credentials and employer partnerships create various pathways for adult learners to access careers in healthcare. “We continue to see a growing need for allied health professionals and programs like ours to help fill the health worker shortage by creating an accommodating and flexible student experience for adult learners who are also parents, family caregivers and working ,” said Dr. Montano. “Our program allows adult learners with complicated lives to complete their certifications through a hybrid learning model with around-the-clock support that provides a healthy work-life balance.” 

The podcast highlighted CHCP’s outcomes noting the past year’s 86% graduate placement rate and spotlighting the recent Rice University School Mathematics Project study that found CHCP to have an extraordinary impact on the hispanic community by graduating more than 78% of hispanic learners who make up 57% of the student population.
