November 01 2017

At the 2017 Career Colleges and Schools of Texas Association's annual conference in Dallas, The McAllen Campus of The College of Health Care Professions won the prestigious "School of the Year" award! This award reflects CHCP McAllen's exemplary graduation and job placement rates, community service, contribution to legislative efforts, and participation in CCST workshops.

This is an amazing accomplishment as CHCP McAllen first opened its doors in the Rio Grande Valley only two years ago. The college focuses on delivering quality healthcare education, training and career services.

On winning the award, School President Joe Cortez says "Our faculty and staff, the students, employers and the RGV community all contributed to the launch of such a high quality allied health college. It's an honor to be recognized on behalf of the team and community for their outstanding work. The College of Health Care Professions looks forward to educating aspiring professionals for the careers of their lives in the growing health care professions."
