CHCP is excited to be featured in a new fact sheet from the Center for Higher Education Policy and Practice (CHEPP) at Southern New Hampshire University: Building Postsecondary Program Pathways into the Workforce for Today's Learners lays out why higher education and workforce systems so often operate in disconnected silos — leaving 43 million Americans with some college and no credential, even as employers struggle to find skilled talent. The fact sheet highlights that career-connected programs, built around embedded advising, stackable credentials, and employer partnerships, are the way to close that gap.

We're proud that CHCP is spotlighted in the fact sheet as an example of this approach in practice. As the largest provider of allied health graduates in Texas, we maintain an employer advisory committee for every program we offer, creating a continuous feedback loop that keeps our curricula aligned with what employers actually need. During clinical externships, our students can embed short-term credentials directly into their degree programs — building job-ready skills and increasing their earning potential before they ever walk the stage.

Learners today are looking for more than a degree — they're looking for a clear, supported path into a career, one that respects the work and life responsibilities they're already balancing. That's exactly the kind of pathway we've spent our history building.

We're grateful to CHEPP for including CHCP in this important conversation about the future of career-connected higher education. Read the full blog and fact sheet here.
