CHCP featured in Community College Daily op-ed Authored by Dr. Sammi Morrill: Tackling San Antonio’s Need for Medical Assistants

Today, Community College Daily published an op-ed authored by Dr. Sammi Morrill, associate vice chancellor of operations at Alamo Colleges District about their partnership with CHCP to expand the number of medical assistants in San Antonio. Dr. Morrill discusses the barriers to meeting San Antonio’s increased demand for medical assistants and why Alamo chose to create a pilot program partnership with CHCP.

The article, titled “Better together: Teaming to tackle San Antonio’s need for medical assistants,” shares more about how two colleges came together to serve learners and their community. She also shared the results of the program, including how all 10 students who started the new MA program earned their certificates and graduated without debt.
