Community Outreach is Central to CHCP's Mission

The College of Health Care Professions believes it is important to give back to the community and participates in many community outreach programs.

Ultrasounds

CHCP offers non-diagnostic ultrasounds to expectant mothers that are performed by our current students in training. These ultrasounds are available at our Houston Northwest campus.

Blood Drive

The College of Health Care Professions regularly hosts blood drives to benefit local community blood centers. 

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center - Their mission is to partner with the community to help save and sustain lives by providing a safe supply of blood, blood components, and related services.

South Texas Blood & Tissue Center  - South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC) is a not-for profit community blood center specializing in a variety of services. Blood Services provides blood, plasma, platelets, and other blood components to 100 hospitals and clinics in 43 South Texas counties.

Bone Marrow Drive

Campuses sponsor and manage a quarterly bone marrow drive to actively recruit willing donors for this program.

Be The Match - The National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP), a nonprofit organization, is the global leader in providing bone marrow and umbilical cord blood transplants to patients in need.

Food Drive

Campuses sponsor an annual food drive to support their local community.

Clothing Drive

Campuses sponsor a clothing drive to assist various community organizations.

Toy Drive

Campuses sponsor a toy drive, where toys are donated to local hospitals and children in need.
