This degree bridge program was specifically designed as an LVN to RN transition program. In it, you’ll have opportunities to explore coursework that introduces you to communication, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning skills for patient-centered care. RNs are in demand. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 250,000 new RN positions will open up by 2030—a projected job growth rate of 9 percent! With your AAS degree in nursing, you will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam and pursue relevant care positions in any number of healthcare settings, from medical offices to hospital ERs. As is the case for all healthcare occupations, the demand for registered nurses is high.
