Thinking about pursuing an administrative career in allied health care? At the College of Health Care Professions, our certificate training program can help you develop the skills you need to pursue a career as a healthcare office administrator.
Healthcare office administrators are often the first healthcare professionals that patients meet when they walk through the door. These office professionals are tasked with maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, processing billing, submitting insurance forms, managing supplies, and more. They may also find themselves assisting with patient treatment, as needed.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics*, the job outlook for medical assistants is projected to grow by 18% from 2020 – 2030. Likewise, at a projected rate of 9%, opportunities for medical records and health information technicians are also on the rise. Both are higher than the 7.7% job growth outlook projected for all occupations total.
