At At the College of Health Care Professions, our certificate training program is designed to help prepare you to take the certification test and help you develop the skills you will need to join the ranks of oral health professionals as a state-registered dental assistant.

Dental assistants are on the front line of oral health, helping dentists with a number of different treatments and procedures. Every day, these certified dental assistants are tasked with taking dental radiographs, implementing tooth impressions for study casts, preparing dental equipment, providing oral care instructions to patients, and much more.

With a dental assistant certificate from the College of Health Care Professions, you should be well prepared to play a key role in dental health as a Dental Assistant, Chair-Side Assistant, or Dental Billing Clerk, all of which are dental health professionals are in demand. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics*, job openings for dental assistants are projected to grow 11 percent from 2020 to 2030 – a faster than average pace.
