Our ADN Program in Texas is designed to help you advance your nursing career from LVN to RN with an ADN and learn the skills needed to provide patient care and impact lives.

With an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from The College of Health Care Professions, you will have the opportunity to advance your nursing career. Those with a Nursing ADN provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and advocate for patients and their family members. ADNs have a direct impact on patients’ lives and well-being, so it is imperative that they have a combination of hard and soft skills, including communication and emotional intelligence. Many may choose to become an ADN after working as a licensed vocational nurse. The transition from Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) to ADN is the goal of our Nursing AAS as it is specifically designed as an LVN to RN bridge program that utilizes a concept-based curriculum An ADN from CHCP is a step on the path to becoming an RN.

Licensing Information

In order to be a registered nurse, you must pass the licensing exam. Our program includes a course specifically designed to prepare you for the exam. Our goal is to help prepare you to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This is why preparation and application for the exam are included in our program.

There are a number of settings in which an RN can work, and the demand for RNs is growing. How Do I Enroll in ADN Nursing Programs in Texas?
