The CARES Act and the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Report

Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), The College of Health Care Professions received education stabilization funds designated exclusively for emergency financial aid grants to students as well as institutional funds.

Pursuant to guidance issued by the Department of Education through an Electronic Announcement published on May 6, 2020, we are providing the following information about the funds we have received, and how, and to whom, we have distributed them.

The College of Health Care Professions is comprised of the following two entities.

Empowerment Schools – Healthcare, Limited dba The College of Health Care Professions

  • OPEID 03128100.   Campuses Include: Houston-NW, Houston-SW, North San Antonio, South San Antonio, Fort Worth, McAllen

Texas Medical Careers, Limited dba The College of Health Care Professions

  • OPEID 03426300.   Campuses Include: Austin, Dallas
