The Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts that Dental Assisting will be one of the fastest-growing occupations over the next 10 years, expecting a growth of 31% from 2010 to 2020.* With the demand for qualified Dental Assistants rapidly growing, it is no wonder that it is a career path often chosen by people like Maritza Spears.

Having been in the army for 3 years, Maritza needed a change. She wanted to do something for herself and for her family. Knowing her passion of taking care of others and wanting to make them laugh and smile, Maritza enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at CHCP. Maritza knows her program would be nothing without instructors such as Dr. Bernardo E. Castaneda pushing her to really do something for herself.

A dentist with a specialty in oral pathology, Dr. Bernardo E. Castaneda pushes his current and former students to become the best Dental Assistants they can be. The Dental Assistant program at CHCP is designed to be very hands-on with regular industry feedback to keep it fresh, of the highest quality and anything but boring.

In the Dental Assisting program at CHCP, students acquire the skills needed to obtain patient histories, prepare and recalculate instruments, record dental exams, perform dental x-rays and assist dentists in a variety of dental facilities.
