The College of Health Care Professions Names Dallas Campus President

Houston, TX (September 14, 2012) – The College of Health Care Professions CEO Jon Emerald announced today that Christopher Peters has been named Campus President of the school’s recently opened Dallas, Texas campus.

“I am pleased to announce that Chris Peters will assume the helm of our Dallas campus,” said Emerald.  “Chris has a proven track record in higher education and we are looking forward to the advancements he will bring to CHCP.” 

Peters has been tasked with the responsibility of opening and launching four Allied Health programs - Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Information Technology and Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist.

“I am thrilled to accept the position of Campus President,” said Peters. “I am committed to providing students the opportunity to advance their career in the health care industry with a quality education and enriching experience.”

Mr. Peters has 13 years of experience in higher education. He’s served in the capacity of an Admissions representative with DeVry University, ITT-Technical Institute, and Everest College; he later assumed the duties of Director of Admission and Campus Vice-President at the Everest College Dallas campus. His significant contributions as a Director of Admission and Campus Vice-President ultimately led to the decision to promote him into the role as Campus President at the Everest College Houston Hobby Campus and later transitioning back to the Everest College Dallas Campus. Mr. Peters has also held positions in the IT industry with companies such as IBM, System Resources Consulting, & Chase Communications.

At Everest College Dallas Campus, Mr. Peters is credited with increasing student enrollment by 20 percent, creating a student mentorship program, starting the first ever Career Colleges and Schools intramural basketball team, and creating strategic partnerships in the Dallas community that turned into opportunities for his student body.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing from Southern University Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He’s also active in a variety of professional, civic, and cultural organizations including: Dallas Habitat for Humanity, Big Brother Big Sister, Career Colleges and Schools of Texas, PTA – Good Shepherd Episcopal School of Dallas, and Jack & Jill of America.
