In an effort to give back to the community, the CHCP Austin Campus participated in several events to aid local students on their road back to school.

They began with participating in a local Back to School Backpack drive where the Austin campus donated over 600 items for our 2017 Student to Student school supply drive. Students were also able to nominate other students who needed help with school supplies for their families. Student Ambassadors assembled 12 backpacks that contained all of the donated items which were given out to the nominees.

Also Austin ISD, in collaboration with the city of Austin, hosted its annual Back to School Bash and Safety Fair from 9 a.m.–noon on Saturday, August 12th at the Palmer Events Center. Almost 150 community organizations and district departments provided information and activities to prepare AISD students for a safe and successful school year.

CHCP Austin Student Ambassadors and Staff hosted a booth to provide information to our community about CHCP, along with performing blood pressure and glucose screenings.
