In Florida, the health care industry has remained vibrant due to the state's growing population of elders and baby boomers. As the population ages, the demand for quality health care provides opportunities for job growth and stability. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the counties of Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, Hillsborough and Duval each employed between 20,126 and 107,454 health care professionals as of May 2009.
