Revenue Cycle Management

Revenue Cycle is an aspect of the health care reimbursement system found in medical offices, physicians and medical specialties as well as ambulatory and hospital systems. This course covers topics such as commercial and managed care, federal insurance plans, payment methodologies and systems and includes various components of regulatory guidelines as it relates to reimbursement monitoring and reporting.
Our course offers professionals experience in determining and planning for strategic and operating efficiency and effectiveness. Introduction to the financial side of cash flow and contract management proficiencies, as well as covering accurate billing through coding, charge master, claims management and bill reconciliation processes. Attention is placed on utilizing established guidelines to comply with reimbursement and reporting requirements such as the National Correct Coding Initiative and compiling patient data to perform data quality reviews to validate code assignment and compliance with reporting such as outpatient prospective payment systems.

This Continuing Education seminar is designed for professionals currently working in Health Information, Inpatient Business Office, Revenue Cycle, Admissions, and Outpatient Setting. This continuing education unit provides concepts and practice for skills utilized within the aspect of revenue cycle. These concepts and practice units cover learning objectives related to cost analysis, contract discrepancies, census, grown abilities, charge capture/denials, as well as coding guideline updates.
