Massage Therapy

The College of Health Care Professions provides continuing education for those who currently hold a Massage Therapy license to enhance their current knowledge, skills and professional portfolio. Massage Therapists are required to participate in these continuing education programs in order maintain their licenses. Seminars offered include: Foot Reflexology, Intro to Healing Foods, Lymphatic Massage, and Sports Massage.

Foot Reflexology - Length: 2 Days/12 Hours

Credential: Certificate - 12 CEUs

This course will explain in detail the many “points”, “landmarks” and “zones” of the foot; it will also explain the many treatment areas and guidelines. Learn how to make a difference and heal the body naturally through foot reflexology.

Intro to Healing Foods - Length: 1 Day/ 6 Hours

Credential: Certificate - 6 CEUs

This course will teach massage therapists the natural healing compounds in fresh food. Learn about the truth of healing foods and how they can make a difference to your health.

Lymphatic Massage - Length: 2 Days/12 Hours

Credential: Certificate - 12 CEUs

This course will explain the lymphatic system background and certain techniques that can assist with the pain and discomfort of tissue swelling. Learn how massage treatment is beneficial for your health.

Sports Massage - Length: 2 Days/12 Hours

Credential: Certificate - 12 CEUs

Sports Massage is a special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after athletic events that compliment the overall massage experience and helps the athlete to recover from their activity.

These classes will be offered every SATURDAY at the Houston Northwest Campus
