Surgical Technologists are vital members of operating room teams. Before operations, they are in charge of assembling equipment, preparing and monitoring patients, and transporting patients. During surgery, technologists assist surgeons through the sterilization of equipment, cutting sutures, holding and passing tools, and operating vital equipment, among numerous other responsibilities. Surgical technologists enjoy a clean, cool, well-lit environment, but must become accustomed to standing for long periods of time.
