Today, Eric Bing, CEO of the College of Health Care Professions (CHCP), was featured in “The Key with Inside Higher Ed,” a podcast hosted by Paul Fain, contributing editor of Inside Higher Ed. Eric shared how CHCP has been coping with the COVID-19 pandemic—including by transitioning to online learning without missing a day of classes, while continuing to meet the needs of healthcare employers for frontline workers.

The podcast episode, titled “A Model to Watch,” included a feature on how CHCP implemented stackable certificates and how the model can improve completion for adult learners. In addition to providing clear and short pathways to credentials that have value in the labor market, CHCP provides flexibility with flipped classrooms, adaptive learning, a constant focus on career readiness, and wrap-around services to support adult learners with complicated lives. He noted the need for institutions to better understand the learners they serve and build and structure education to fit their needs.
