CHCP Career Services is serious about helping our graduates’ transition from student to health care professionals. They not only help our students find the best individual career path for them but they also help, with resume writing, job placement assistance, and interviewing.
Here are three tips for an impressive interview:
- Have a rehearsed 20 second introduction of who you are and what makes you unique. We all have our own personal stories, and what motivates us. Make sure they hear it. It will not only highlight your strengths but because it is something you can clearly and naturally articulate it will definitely catch their attention.
- Interview your potential employers as much as they interview you. Go in with the expectation of asking just as many questions as they ask you. This will not only show them how interested you are, but it will also allow you to see if working with them would be a good fit for you.
- Always thank your interviewer for their time. Whether you send them a quick email afterwards, give them a call, or write them a hand written note. Make sure to always follow up in a timely manner. It will not only be very professional, but it will help you stand out from the crowd.
