CHCP Dallas Community Outreach

Mother's Day Project 2.jpg

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is proud of all the dedication and support from our students and staff in getting involved in the community. Mothers Day occurred on May 11th, 2014 this year and CHCP Dallas put together an outreach program to support women facing a crisis pregnancy. Student Ambassadors assisted with the project in collecting baby items and putting together a “Baby Bag” with everything a mother needs for her new baby to be delivered as a gift for Mother’s Day.

The following items were collected for this gift:

  • Diapers – Bag of 40 diapers
  • Baby Bottles – 12
  •  Formula – 20 Formula Powder 23.2 Ounce each
  • Burp Rags- Packet of 6
  • Pacifiers- 4
  • Baby wipes- 2 bags of 150 wipes each
  •  4 Baby books

Student Ambassadors stopped into each classroom twice a week to ask and remind students to donate items to support this outreach project. Sherry Sewell joined Gina Esquerre to deliver all the items in person. All items were donated to the Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support.

We are so very proud of everyone’s support in the community!!
